“Is scanning the only service that you provide? “

Absolutely not! We provide packages that that will provide a full scan, model and mockup creation, protyping, and engineering drawings. Our extensive suite of software allows us to help with design and engineering challenges, desktop visualization, and virtual mock-up and testing.

“Who OWNS my data ?”

You do! We respect your ideas and as such work done by Converg3D on your behalf is considered proprietary information and your intillectual property.

“Is scanning for a copy illegal ?”

Let’s start by saying the Converg3D has the right to refuse any project that appears to be an outright copy of someone else’s intellectual property. The answer as to whether or not copying is illegal is, well…it depends. It is worth saying that if you feel completely unsure, be sure to do your due diligence with regards to copyright infringement. We have the highest regard for the hard work of others just as we do for yours.

“What file formats do you export ?”

.stl, .obj, .ply, .3mf, asr, .psm, .par, .dwg, .dxf, etc.

“What kind of scanner do you use ?”

Currently we use the Einscan HX hybrid scanner. It scans in both SLS light, as well as laser. It is accurate to .04mm and 480,000 points in laser, and .05mm and 1,200,000 points in SLS.

“What is your service area?”

Our regualr service area covers Northern New England, but our equipment is highly portable. Reach out for a detailed quote, and we will do our best make our services available to you.
